Inaugural Splendor Fest Benefiting DC’s Local Homeless Community
(Washington, DC) - Meant 2 Live Foundation and IMPACT Collective have partnered to host their Inaugural Splendor Festival that will take place on July 22nd, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Franklin Square in Washington, DC. This free event will provide a unique experience consisting of live music, inspirational speeches, and aid D.C.'s homeless community.
Through an effort to give back, homeless attendees are provided transportation to and from shelters to the event. These special VIP guests will be greeted with free haircuts, warm catered meals, ice cold beverages, and a game truck for their amusement. Blessing bags containing toiletries, healthy snacks, and other necessities will be gifted.
A mobile health clinic will offer medical screenings for all guests. The Department of Employment will be available at the event for training sessions, focusing on job readiness and occupational skills. The Department of Human Services will be aiding attendees with housing support and services.
Entertainment for the festival will feature inspirational guest speaker, Pastor Marcus Gill and live music ranging from Contemporary, Gospel, Rap, to the Top 40. Performing during the festival will be Special Occasions, Nehemiah, Tamika Moore, Tony M-Band, and Jason Saitta.
Founder of Meant 2 Live Foundation, Eddie Fam, began Splendor Ministry to benefit and bring together the local community. Taking the initiative to help the growing number of individuals that find themselves homeless, Fam provides a chance to impact those that are disadvantaged through Splendor Fest. Fam expresses, “The purpose of this event is to be a hope to the hopeless, and to bring a bright light into the darkest areas of our Nation’s Capital.”
With their partnership, IMPACT Collective and Meant 2 Live Foundation created Splendor to serve homeless families, at-risk youth, prisoners, and those facing addictions. As a revival mission of utilizing the universal power of music, they give those impoverished a VIP experience. Through Gospel and worship concerts they impact lives by bringing inspirational and hopeful messages to those who are in the greatest need of encouragement.

COMCAST SPECTACOR ACQUIRES BRÛLÉE CATERING
Upscale, Philadelphia-Based Culinary Firm Adds Strategic Extensions to Spectra’s Food Services & Hospitality Division via Premium Hospitality and Off-Premise Catering
